Papericious " Let's go " pack inspiration- Mixed Media notebok cover

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my April inspirational post.
This is Irit from Irit Shalom Designs here today and I am going to share my new travel journal cover that was made with Papericious new, just released, Let's go collection.

I made the chipboard cover using some recycled chipboards and then covered them from both sides with two Papericious cardstocks. The 12*12'' cardstock fits the regular book sise, but not allows to make folds as it's pretty much close to 12*12''. So I glued one cardstock on the top, the second one inside and then added borders on the outside with what was left from the inside cardstock.

The background panel was made from different strips from Let's go collection, but then with all paints and mediums you just can see the strips, but not the patterns.
First I painted them with white gesso and then with the thin layer of black gesso and then added the travel words using Tim Holtz stencil and texture paste.
The color was made with different acrylic paints and wiped for the mute final result.
Then embellishment cluster was made with layers over layers of Let's go cardstocks.
Some were border punched with Binding edge punch. Some are pieces of background die cuts I made with different dies.
Pieces of Papericious new released background chipboards were added between the paper layers, painted with black acrylic paint.
I added two paper cuts from the sentiment cardstock and the chipboard title on the top.
The chipboard title and the chipboard arrows were heat embossed with blue embossing powder.

As you can see I added quite a lot of layers over the cover, but then it's still  flat as this is a journal to use and it can't be too bulky.

And this is how it looks while standing:

Hello Happy layout with Scrapmatts

My second Scrapmatts project for April is a monochromatic Wedding day layout made with DCVW new stack and a lot of Scrapmatts products.
So this is how this layout looks with those " blue mood" photos and blue China cardstock.

Chipboard were painted with white and black acrylics and added under the paper cut flowers.
The huge chipboard circle was added around the larger photo.

Some kind of journalling was made with Scrapmatts Scrap Words.
On this  close- up photo you can also see the dotted background made with clear glitter paste and a new delicious Scrapmatts stencil.

The title was made with two large words chipboards that were heat embossed with black embossing powder.

Another small string chipboard half circle was added on the opposite corner flower cluster.

Lace boarder piece was added over the small photos part of the layout.

Another lace corner piece was added as the large photo corner.

And a view from the side to show you the dimension of this page.

Timeless Moments notebook with Scrapmatts

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first Scrapmatts project for April.
This time I decided to begin with an altered spiral notebook and was totally embellished with Scrapmatts products over the patterned cardstock (Scrapberry's). Most of the chipboard pieces came from one single chipboards set- Nautical designs 04.
All chipboard were first covered with a thin layer of white gesso and then inked around or partially colored and you can still see the actual off white color of the original chipboard.

" Timeless Moment" title was made with two piece from Scrap Words 22 set. The bottom chipboard were painted with a kind of  distress painted look and I added a few pearls near the shell and misted the whole piece over.

On each and every inside page I added the clear sticky envelope to add " memories" from your Summer vacation and added one more Scrapmatts word.

Triple Spring canvas

This triple canvas was made for some web challenges.
Lucky me - I had some spare time before I got some of my new DT boxes to work with and thanks to Israeli " speedy" post service they are not here yet.
So I decided to scroll the web and to find a few Mixed Media challenges I can combine in this triple art piece.
I made two card sized separate canvases and then added them both to a large canvas.
Each of the small canvases was covered with texture background using stencils and stamps and then I added two clusters of chipboards, flowers and other clustered items.
The large canvas was textured on the edges only as I wanted it to stay flat for the smaller ones.
Here are some close- ups to this project:

And now to the challenges I made this piece for (cross my fingers they like it as it was quite a lot of work and mostly of drying time).

Lindy's Stamp Gang- color board
I used the following Lindy's products here: Sidewalk Chalk Flat Fabio spray
Rusty Lantern Lime Starburst Spray
Blue Hawaiian Blue Starburst spray
Raspberry Lemonade Flat Fabio spray
As I used the white spray over the colored ones the tones are mute as I wanted them to be

Creative embellishments- Spring- I took hot pink and flowers as my inspiration. Some of the chipboards are from CE
I Am Roses challenge- Anything goes with IAR products- half of the flowers on this project are from IAR

Dream paint brushes deco with Art Anthology

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Art Anthology second April post!

This time I decided to show you how you can use your old and messy paint brushes and to make a lovely wall decoration using them with Art Anthology paints and a stencil.
As you can see the project base is made of 21 old paint brushes. My problem is that I never clean my brushes in a proper way. I do clean them here and there, but finally they are done and gone and the only thing you can make with them is an altered project.
Lucky me, I never buy the expensive brushes and those are all kind of a general $ store ones.
So then life gives you messy " lemons" make a nice lemonade and in my case make a nice altered project.
Here you can see some close- ups to this project:

You can see the full step by step tutorial here on a Snapguide:
Check out How to Make Used Paint Brushes Wall Decoration by Art Anthology on Snapguide.
All products are listed in the Snapguide and I made a full Art Anthology products list HERE in this post .
Hope you like my project and see you soon again with a totally different Mixed Media creation.
I enter this altered project to some web challenges too:

Forever Love layout with Scrapberry's

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my second April Scrapberry's inspiration.
As usual if the first project were cards or tags of something small, this will be a layout. So this is my second daughter Wedding layout made with the most gorgeous Holiday Romance collection and I just had the photos that fit the background cardstock in the most perfect way.

As you can see this layout was made with two photos in a different sizes and with the main embellishment cluster under the first photo.
The cluster was made with cardstock cuts, chipboard " Love " Title, metal flair saying " Forever" and my own hand made resin pieces.
I added a bit of blue " water drops" mist over the page and even over the photo.

" Happy Moments" arrow was stamped and added on the bottom of the page.

On the right  upper side I die cut lots of blue cardstock circles and stamped this " Best picture ever" with white heat embossing over on of them.
More Scrapberry's embellishments were added near and over the circles.
Two couples clips were glued over the cardstock cluster and they are very similar to  my darling family new couple.
Some chipboard arrows negative were glued near the circles and yes, I use the left over negative and added red Stains ink edges to fit  some of red color as the extra color of this kind of Nautical  page.

I really hope that you like this page and can see the option of making wedding photos shine in a totally different, non traditional way.
